<br />The Board examined and ordered placed on file Change Order of the State Highway
<br />Department, effective August 1, 1954, pertaining to Electric Current Agreement N0.11998
<br />In accordance with this Change Order, the City becomes responsible for current con-
<br />sumed for the operation of traffic signals at the locations shown below:

<br />U.S. 20 (Lincolnway)& Blaine Avenue
<br />U.S..20 (Lincolnway)& Cushing Street

<br />The Board directed the Clerk to inform the Indiana & Michigan Electric Company
<br />that the City assumes this responsibility and anticipates regular billing accordingly,
<br />The Board next examined a letter, dated August 18, 1954, over the signature of
<br />the purchasing agent, Wilson Brothers, South Bend, protesting the billing of sewage dis-
<br />posal service without showing meter -readings. The Board directed that the Clerk in-
<br />form Wilson Brothers in reply to their letter, relative to the basis for the billings and
<br />adjustment to be made upon the determining of the average consumption of water as
<br />shown by their meter.
<br />The Board approved plans submitted by Wilbur H. Gartner & Associates, Civil Engin-
<br />eers, for the improvement of Anzio Avenue, from the easterly line of Pyle Avenue to
<br />the westerly line of Rockne Drive.
<br />Th& time now being eleven o►clock, it was so announced, and the Board then pro-
<br />ceeded with the opening of bids, -as follows:
