Andrysiak, signed the Agreement transferring control <br />'of land owned by the City of South Bend on the South side of Pinhook Lagoon to the Park <br />(Department for maintenance, and is a s follows: <br />AGREEMENT <br />THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into this 16th day of August, 1954, by and between <br />the BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OP THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, hereinafter referred to as the Party <br />of the First Part, and the BOARD OF PARK COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, here- <br />inafter referred to as the Party of the Second Part, <br />WI TNESSETH : <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend is the owner of a parcel of land in <br />the Southwest Quarter of Section Twenty-six (26), Township Thirty-six <br />(36) North, Range Two (2) East, and being more particularlaescribed as <br />follows: <br />A strip of land commencing at the Southwest corner of the <br />intersection of Riverside Drive and Pinhook Drive in the <br />City of South Bend; thence in a Westerly direction along <br />the South line of Pinhook Drive to the West line of Section <br />26, Township 36 North, Range 2 East; thence North along <br />said.West section line to the meander line of the South bank <br />of Pinhook Lagoon to the West line of Riverside Drive; thence <br />Southerly to the place of beginning. <br />WHEREAS, the Party of the First Part is desirous of transferring its juris- <br />diction and control of said above described real estate to the Party of the Second Part, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Party of the Second Part is willing and desirous of controlling <br />and maintaining said above described real estate. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises of the parties <br />;;:hereinafter set forth it is agreed as follows: <br />1. That the Party of the First Part does hereby transfer all of its right <br />title and interest in said above described real estate to the Party of the Second Part <br />',absolutely, and the Party of the First Part does hereby agree to maintain nevertheless <br />'the street known as Pinhook Drive. <br />2. The Party of the Second Part hereby agrees to accept the transfer and <br />possession of the above described real estate and to assume full control and maintenance <br />''of said real estate. <br />3. Davies <br />Secretary BY: Charles Van De Veire <br />President <br />In accordance with agreement made between the Mayor of South Bend, and the Mayor <br />of Mishawaka, the Board is determined to annex an additional one-fourth of Ironwood <br />bridge, making three -fourths of Ironwood bridge under the jurisdiction of South Bend, <br />and then proceed to repair three fourths of the bridge. After the repair is accomplished <br />anal Mishawaka has taken care of its one-fourth of said bridge, it is contemplated that <br />all of Ironwood Bridge will come under the jurisdiction of South Bend, and all of the <br />Logan Street bridge will subsequently come under Mishawakats jurisdiction. <br />Mr. Tomlinson next appeared before the Board relative to the opening of Campeau <br />Street, which was requested by Mr. Weber. After some discussion the Board directed <br />the Clerk to notify Mr. Weber by letter,that they would open Campeau Street and lay <br />gravel, providing he will purchase gravel in a sufficient quantity to cover area <br />twenty feet wide and six inches deep' and also provide oil for oiling same area <br />
