Brvant, Deputy Treasurer of State of Indiana, was read and the decision <br />!of the Board was to proceed to make payment of the obligation referred to in the Deputy <br />I; Treasurerts letter. <br />A report on the routing of traffic setting up State and U. S. Highway detours, during <br />the repair of the Colfax Avenue bridge, submitted'.by Traffic Engineer, E. H. Miller, <br />was examined and ordered filed. <br />STOP SIGN changes necessitated by the _re-routing of State Highway traffic during the <br />reconstruction of the Colfax Avenue bridge, as covered by report submitted by Traffic <br />Engineer, E. H. Muller, this date, was examined and ordered filed. <br />A letter from Wilmer H. Tolle, Director of the Department of Public Welfare, under <br />date of July 1, 1954, was read by the Board and after some discussion of the problem, <br />the matter was referred to Traffic Engineer, E. H. Miller for his investigation and <br />report. <br />The Trust. Account set up for the purpose of handling plans and specifications deposits:' <br />required of bidders in connection with the ,Sewage Treatment Plant construction, as called, <br />for in the legal advertising, having served -ts -purpose, the Board authorized the ter- <br />mination of the trust and ordered that the remaining balance of these funds be trans- <br />ferred to the General Fund. <br />An Excavation Bond, in the sum of $2,000.00, binding Stanley E. Wesolowski, as <br />principal and National Surety Corporation, New York City as sureties, was examined and <br />approved by the Board. <br />Excavation Bonds, in the sum of 81,000.00 each, were examined and approved by the <br />Board for 0. E. Frame, d%b/a 0. E. Frame & Son, and 1m. S. Lodyga. <br />Contractors Bonds, each in the sum of Q1,000.00, were examined and approved for the <br />following contractors: <br />Black & Anderson Construction Co., Inc., <br />Forest Guise <br />Eugene 71. Lauderback <br />Albin R. Saltzgaber <br />Robert Schumaker <br />The possibility of establishing some form of pension plan for City employees of mapv <br />years service, as they reach the age of -retirement, particularly those in the service <br />'' of the Street Department, was discussed briefly, no definite conclusion being established. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned <br />at 11:50 A.
