<br />PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ADOPTED
<br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend,
<br />'Indiana, that the Profiles, Drawings, Plans, General Details, Specifications and
<br />estimates approved by the Board on the 24th day of Tvlay, 1954,for the improvement of
<br />SOUTH LAKE' STREET (EAST SIDE) from the south line of Western Avenue to the north line
<br />of Ford Street by constructing a five foot cement concrete sidewalk under Improvement
<br />'
<br />Resolution No. 2776 AND
<br />`
<br />COLFAX AVENUE (NORTH SiDE) from the east line of Greenlawn Avenue to the west
<br />line of Coquillard Drive, by constructing a sidewalk and curb, under Improvement
<br />Resolution No. 2777, bs and the same are hereby adopted and ordered placed on file in thel
<br />office of the Department of Public Works and Safety.
<br />June 28, 1954, at the hour of 10:00 A. M. Central Standard Time is hereby fixed
<br />as the time and the office of the Board of Public ,'Yorks and Safety in the City Hall

<br />of this City, as the place, when and where the Board of Public Works and Safety will
<br />i
<br />;open and consider bids for the above named improvements, provided all bids for the
<br />iconstruction of said work shall be filed in the office of the Clerk of this Board be-
<br />fore 10:00 o'clock A. M. SCT of said day. Each bidder for said work shall enclose with
<br />,his bid a certified check, payable to the Treasurer of this City in the sum of two and
<br />�
<br />one-half (22) per cent of the amount of his bid, or a bid bond for two and one-half
<br />(2�) per cent of the amount of his bid, to insure the execution of this contract, if sai
<br />work is awarded to him.

<br />The Clerk of this Board is hereby ordered, to give notice by two (2) weekly

<br />,publications of the time and place, when and where bids will be received, opened and
<br />considered for the cons ruction of said work. Said Clerk shall state in said notices,
<br />that each bidder shall enclose with his bid a certified check or bid bond for above
<br />named amount, to insure the execution of this contract.

<br />ALLEY BETWEEN PORTAGE AVENUE AND ASHLAND AVENUE fron, the southline of Portage
<br />Court to the west line of Leland Avenue by constructing a Class "C" - Type 1 - Pavement
<br />under Improvement Resolution No. 2784.
<br />The Board approved the reports and passed improvement Resolution authorizing these
<br />improvements, and the 7th day of July 1954, at the hour of 6: 30 oclock C .S. T. , for •
<br />the purpose of hearing and considering all remonstrances, zwhich may have been filed
<br />or which may be presented, and will hear all persons interested or whose property is
<br />affected by said improvements, and will decide whether the benefits that t^gill accrue to
<br />the abutting and adjacent property to the proposed improvements and to said City, will
<br />be equal to or exceed the estimated cost of the proposed improvements as estimated by
<br />the City Civil Engineer. The Clerk of the Board is hereby ordered to give notice by
<br />two weekly publications of the time and place of hearing of these resolutions passed
<br />by the Board on 1Lth day of June 1954, and to be published on June 18th and June 25th in
<br />the South Bend Tribune.
