177 VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2786 - 1954 RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: That it is desirable to vacate the following: THE ALLEY EAST OF WALNUT STREET FROM THE NORTH LINE OF THE FIRST ALLEY SOUTH OF WESTERN AVENUE NORTH TO THE NEW YORK CENTRAL RAILROAD RIGHT OF WAY LINE. The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected by such vacation: Lot Numbered 2 Susan M. Stokes Subdivision of B.O.L. 96 Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 4th day of June and on the llth day of June 1954, in the South Bend Tribune and Tri-County News. This Board, at its office in the City Hall on the 21st day of June 1954, at 10:00 A. M. C.S.T. will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons interested • in or affected by these proceedings. Adopted this lst day of June 1954- R. S. Andrysiak J. A. Bickel I. A. Hurwich Board of Public Works & Safety Excavation Bonds, each in the sum of $1,000.00, for W. T. Otterstein and • Joseph W. Turnock were examined and approved by the Board. Contractorts Bonds, each in the sum of $1,000.00, were examined and approved by the Board for the following: Hartman Builders, Inc. Casimer J. Libertowski Robert E. Metzger Steven A. Molenda Alonzo Wynns • TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT: The Board approved the installation of S-T-O-P signs at the following locations: E. Side of Franklin Street on the north side of Exit Drive of Sears Roebuck lot Southwest corner of Train Street at Park Lane Southwest corner of Clinton Street at East Sample Street. The Traffic Engineerts Department being urgently in need of 1000 lineal feet of 2-inch galvanized conduit, the Board directed the Clerk to proceed with the purchase without delay, obtaining best delivery available.
