First appeared before the Board Street Commissioner, H. M. Tomlinson, again referr-
ing to the condition existing in the 3900 block South Main Street, which is continuously •
littered with beer cans and bottles, owing to the location being used extensively as
a lover's lane. The Board directed Chief of Police, Richard J. Gillen, who was also
present, to proceed to make an arrest of an offender, with a view to remedying the
situation through rigid enforcement of the law which provides sufficient penalty to
deter this violation.
Commissioner Tomlinson mentioned the approximate cost of the oiling of Riverside
Drive, as directed by the Board, and was advised to present claim accordingly, for
payment from funds appropriated for the construction of the Sewage Treatment Plant.
Contractor, Sollitt Construction Company, Inc. from Consoer, Townsend and Associates, •
restrictions indicated by Consoer, Townsend and Associates met with the approval of
the Board.
The matter of contract supplements, and the expediting of these matters with a
minimum of "paper work" was next considered by the Board. In this connection the
following resolution was, thereupon, concurred in:
the Board by Consoer, Townsend and Associates, consulting engineers,
upon meeting with the Board's approval, will become effective •
upon being stamped with the Board's APPROVED stamp and signed by
not less than two members, one of whom must in every instance
be Chairman of the Board, R. S. Andrysiak.
