<br />The above bids were taken under advisement.
<br />Petition, dated March 23, 1954, calling for a combined sewer for Gertrude Street,
<br />from Prairie Avenue to Ewing Avenue, was examined and referred to the City Engineer
<br />for investigation and report.
<br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER:
<br />Traffic Engineer, E. H. Miller, appeared before the Board and called attention
<br />to his departmentts need -for a machine which will refinish traffic signs of all types
<br />and recommended the purchase of a 36t' Heat Lamp Vacuum Applicator, which can be ob-
<br />-- tained at this time together with a quantity of the materials required, most advan-
<br />tageously for the City. The Board, accordingly, approved the purchase and directed
<br />the Traffic Engineer to proceed in the matter of securing the needed equipment.
<br />The Board next took action, and were in unanimous agreement, closing Riverside
<br />Drive from the Pinhook Lagoon to Cleveland Road, for the period of the construction
<br />activities in connection with the Sewage Treatment Plant.
<br />Excavatorls Bond, in the sum of $1,000.00, binding Sollitt Construction Co.,Inc.
<br />as principal and United Stated Fidelity and Guaranty Co., as sureties, was examined
<br />and approved by the Board.
<br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was
<br />adjourned at 12:00 otclock noon.
