<br />October 26, 1953
<br />A special meeting, called by the Mayor, extending invitation to representatives of
<br />otre Dame University, St. Maryts College, and officials and attorneys, representing
<br />ocal governmental units particularly concerned in the matter of the Toll Road, to meet
<br />ith the Board of Public Works at 2:00 P. M., Monday, October 26, 1953, in the Council
<br />hambers of the City Hall, was held at that hour. The purpose of the meeting was to
<br />resent an opportunity for officials, and their attorneys or representatives, of the
<br />ffected communities, to consult and advise with members of the Indiana Toll Road
<br />ommission and a representative of the Toll Road Engineering firm of J. E. Greiner Company?
<br />f Baltimore, Maryland. Board member, I. A. Hurwich, presided. All members of the Board'
<br />-ere present. Full recordings of the proceedings were taken on two electrical recording j3
<br />evices and very thorough coverage of the meeting given in the Tuesday, October 27, 1953
<br />ssue of The South Bend Tribune.
<br />There being no other matters to come before this special meeting, the meeting was
<br />journed by the presiding officer at 4:45 P.M.
