A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held Monday, October 19, 1953.4 .1 at 10:00 A. M. All members were pre -sent. Minutes of the previous meetin� were read and approved. Claims of the following suppliers, in the total amount of 18,223-77.9 were approved and ordered paid: City Water Works 34-53 Artcraft Printers �4i25 Indiana Bell Telephone Co. 10-35 PARKING METER DEPARTMENT: Indiana Bell Telephone Co. 10-79 Gerber Mfg. Co. 24.20 SANITATION DEPARTMENT: STREET & TRAFFIC: MacAllister Machinery Co., $17P940-00 Kuert Concrete, Inc. 31-45 Street improvement plans for the following locations were examined and approved by the Board: Teri Street from Addison Street to Fellows Street Barbie Street from Addison Street to Fellows Street Addison Streetfrom south line of Beverly Heights 6th Addition to Barbie Street Fellows Street from Chippewa Avenue to south line of Zook's lst Addition South side of Chippewa Avenue from the end of existing street to Fellows Curb, grade, walk and pavement plans for the following locations in Twyckenham !I! Hills Addition, Section "G", were examined and approved by the Board: Hilltop Drive Weist Lane Hillsdale Road si Springbrook Drive Caroline Street Curb, grade, walk and pavement plans for the following locations in McKinley !1 Terrace Addition, Section "B", were examined and approved by the Board: Corby Street Whitehall Drive Manchester Drive Oxford Lane Kent Lane Sewer plans for the following locations in McKinley Terrace Addition, Section "B". were examined and approved by the Board: Whitehall Drive Manchester Drive Oxford Lane Kent Lane Sewer plans for the following locations in Zook1s lst Addition were examined and approved by the Board: Teri Street Barbie Street Addison Street Fellows Street i STREET DEPARTMENT: Street Commissioner, H. M1. Tomlinson, being present, brought to the Boardts attention, a request made upon his department to pick up and restore to serviceable condition the bicycle racks in front of the Granada Theatre. The question was raised as to whether or not these racks are city property. The Traffic Engineer stated that these racks are city property under his jurisdiction and the repair of the racks will be taken care of by his department. A request for approval of a canopy involved in building construction under way at 2208 South Miami Street, was next considered and after examination of the blueprints, [the Board granted approval, subject to the additional approval of the Building Commissio The Board next examined a set of photographs, submitted by the Street Commissioner,:; showing the site and equipment at the Sanitary Land -Fill and illustrating the size and operation of the equipment, and the progressive filling and leveling off of this pit TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT: Upon the recommendation of Traffic Engineer, E. H. Miller, the Board approved the following parking regulations: Parking is prohibited on the north side of Park Lane from Main Street to Lafayette
