<br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held Monday, October 13, 1953,
<br />at 10:00 A. M. All members were present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read
<br />and approved. Claims of the following suppliers in the amount of $2105.1�3 were approved

<br />First appeared before the Board, Engineer Wm. S. Moore, presenting plans showing
<br />sewer taps required for the north side of Corby Street, from Manchester Drive east to
<br />Whitehall Drive. Installation of these, as indicated on the drawing, was given the
<br />approval of the Board.
<br />Plan for local sewer improvement for Rockne Drive, from Chimes Boulevard to Benedict
<br />Avenue, and for Benedict Avenue, from Rockne to center line of Lot 350, Edison Park
<br />Addition, submitted by Wilbur H. Gartner & Associates, was next examined and approved by
<br />the Board.
<br />Curb, grade, walk and pavement plan for Ridgedale Road, Twyckenham Hill Addition,
<br />Section "G", as certified by Wm. S. Moore, Engineer, for Place & Company, Inc., was
<br />examined and approved by the Board.
<br />DEDICATION
<br />WHEREAS, a plat with dedication of streets and utility easements indicated thereon
<br />iris now presented to the Board, by Clyde E. Williams & Associates, Professional Engineers,
<br />1rand bearing the approval of the City Plan Commission, to be known as Zook's First Sub-
<br />'Division, an addition to the City of South Bend, Indiana.
<br />This plat and dedication is filed in the records of the Board of Public Works and
<br />;Safety and recorded in Book , Page # , in the Recorder's Office of St. Joseph County
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
<br />,of South Bend, Indiana, that all public streets and utility easements dedicated to the
<br />i.
<br />,public use in said plat are hereby accepted and approved by said Board for and on behalf
<br />!of the City of South Bend, Indiana.
<br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 2757 - 1953
<br />Certificate of Completion was furnished by the civil engineer, Wilbur H. Gartner,
<br />accompanied by Contractor's Completion Affidavit, of the contract between the City of
<br />South Bend, Indiana, Owner, and the Rieth-Riley Construction Company, Contractor, for
<br />the construction of the pavement improvement on FORD STREET, SCENIC DRIVE AND LOMBARDY
<br />DRIVE under Improvement Resolution No. 2757, 1953, has been completed in accordance
<br />with the plans and specification for this project, was examined by the Board and ordered
<br />filed.
<br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FINAL ESTIMATE
<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2757 - 1953
<br />BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend,
<br />Indiana, that Final Estimate and Primary Assessment Roll submitted to the Board by the
<br />City Civil Engineer or his duly authorized representative on this 13th day of October
<br />1953, on the improvement known as the FORD STREET - SCENIC DRIVE - LOMBARDY DRIVE
<br />PAVEMENT as described in Improvement Resolution No. 2757, 1953, passed by the Board
<br />of Public Works and Safety (waived) and confirmed by said Board on June 8, 1953, be
<br />and the same is hereby adopted, and the Clerk of this Board is hereby requested to give
<br />notice of the hearing of Special Benefits on said Improvement, as required by Section N.
<br />111 or 120 of an Act entitled, "An Act Concerning Municipal Corporations" approved
<br />March 6, 1905.
