M. - 4 to 4:30 P- M- installed on I� west side of Kendall,from Railroad to Cotter Street. jli i The matter oftheerection of a machine shed to shelter the machinery used at the =Sanitary Land -Fill, was then taken up and the bid of Armco Drainage & Metal Products, { Inc., to provide a 24t x 241 x 12' Steelox Building for $1068.30 was accepted, together ii 11with their supplemental offer to erect this building, furnishing 6" x 6" untreated oak 11timbers as foundation, and the Clerk was directed to prepare formal purchase order for 1Itheir notification, and proper encumberance of funds. it �j The bids pertaining to the supplying of a bulldozer or dozer -shovel for the s !!Sanitary Land -Fill, were again reviewed by the Board, and the chairman announced the ;Boardts decision to award contract to the I4IacAllister Machinery Co., Inc., 2118 N. Gale 11 !Street, Indianapolis, for one Caterpillar D6 Dozer -Shovel with Campbell All -Weather i lidetachable cab, at the price of $17,645.00, and $295.00, respectively. The Clerk was it I i'directed to issue purchase order accordingly. ,a The Board rescinded action taken in regular meeting of Monday, September 21, 1953, !'pertaining to affidavit for taxicab license of Cecil L. Crail, and directed the Clerk ;:to proceed with the required legal advertising in this matter. ++ • it A letter, under date of October 2 1953, was received from the City Plan Commission s � y !recommending the vacation of a section of alley between Caroline Street and Eldora Court,;; juunning north from Delbert Court to the first east and west alley, and this was referred Tito the Engineering Department for investigation and report. Gartner & Associates to proceed to prepare plan for the l;construetion of a local sewer for the improvement of Ellsworth Place, in accordance ;:..with the recommendation of City Engineer, Ray S. Andrysiak, and the petition of Russell ! I! R. Shue and four others. The recommendation of Traffic Engineer, Ernest H. Miller, in regard to proposed j ]driveway in connection with the new Catholic High School, at Angela Boulevard and ,Michigan Street, was examined and ordered filed. • The time now being 11:00 o'clock, the Board recessed to meet at 1:30 P- M- for !'the continuance of transaction of business.
