Crothers <br />• JCTerE of the BoarT <br />The Board approved the "No Parking regulation on north side of Grace Street., from <br />Webster Street West to dead end. <br />Considerable study was next given by the Board to the matter of the required <br />widening of the highway in the Immediate vicinity of Majorts Shopping Center on McKinley <br />Avenue. Traffic Engineer, E. H. Miller, being present, pointed out the necessity for <br />the laying of a de-celerating strip of not less than the distance indicated on the <br />idrawing of the Proposed widening project, The Board decided a consultation with Mr. <br />Louis Major, Jr. and Mr. Andrew Place should be the next step in the procedure, and <br />'directed the Clerk to notify these gentlemen to appear before the Board at its next <br />.iregular meeting, Tuesday, September 8. 1953. i <br />Estimate, recommendations, and findings of Messrs. Torok and Meiner, in connection <br />�with suggested removal of gallery in Council Chamber and use of -space for construction <br />of a room for files and storage of municipal records, was examined and ordered filed. <br />A report of damage to parking meter in an accident occurring on August 20 1953, <br />submitted by Casimir W. Dzikowski., Supt. of the Parking Meter Department, accompanied <br />by Police Department report covering the accident, was examined and ordered placed on ii 1 i <br />if ile. <br />An Excavator's Bond and-Contraatorts Bond, each in the sum of $1,000.00, with <br />;Taylor Construction Co.,, Inc.,, as principal, and National Surety Corporation, as surety, <br />• 1were, examined and approved by the Board. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned <br />,iat 11:45 A.
