<br />First appeared before the Board, Mr. E. A. Schumaker, representing the petitioners
<br />in the matter of the construction of sidewalk in the area of the 1300 block of west
<br />Washington Avenue, which has been pending for several months. After some discussion,
<br />Yr. Ziegler informed Mr. Schumaker that he would again take the matter up with the
<br />property owners involved and see if he can get the needed improvement.
<br />The Board adopted a resolution,
<br />trash haulers from hauling any material
<br />point of combustion, such as hot ashes
<br />the caretaker at the Sanitary Land Fill
<br />dumping.
<br />STREET DEPARTMENT:
<br />effective immediately, forbiddinn rubbish or
<br />that is flaming or hot, or at/or near the
<br />or burning embers from a refuse pile fire, and
<br />is instructed to refuse to accept the same for
<br />Street Commissioner, Harry M. Tomlinson, being present, took up the matter of
<br />weed cutting on lots in the City, stating that he had received several calls from
<br />:property owners, who are willing to pay for same if the City will do the works.
<br />:Tomlinson stated that he does not have the equipment or help to take care of this project
<br />land the Board recommended that he refer this work to a private party who is equipped to
<br />'do same, thereby eliminating any responsibility on the part of the City.
<br />Mr. Tomlinson called the Boardts attention to his departmentts urgent need for
<br />a mower attachment anda farm tractor, and requested the permission of the Board for
<br />the purchase of such equipment. The appropriation being available for this equipment,
<br />the request was granted.
<br />Mr. Ralph Moorhouse appeared before the Board asking permission for the use of
<br />a Street Department flusher to open a plugged 1211temporary outlet of the interceptor
