13 <br />Contractorss Bonds, each in the sum of $1,000.00 were examined and approved by the <br />Board, binding Interstate Maintenance & Engineering Company of Springfield, Ohio, and <br />Felix Hartmann, as principals, and The Travelers Indemnity Company, and Fidelity and <br />Deposit Company of Maryland respectively, as surety. <br />The Board then proceeded to inquire further into the matter of the bids pertaining <br />to the 10-ton bulldozer and reached the decision to award contract to Korte Bros., Inc. <br />of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, to supply the equipment, as described in Bid #3 of their pro- <br />posal of April 27, 1953, in the amount of $12,316.00. The Clerk was directed to issue <br />purchase order accordingly. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting <br />was adjourned at 11:45 A. M. <br />Attest: <br />Clerk <br />A request from Dr. F. A. Turfler and Dr. David E. Turfler for license to <br />operate a parking lot at 111 South William Street received the approval of the Board, <br />and the Clerk was directed to notify the Turflers accordingly. <br />The Board next examined and approved a blueprint, submitted by the Northern <br />Indiana Public Service Co., showing their new proposed routing of gas main from <br />Michigan Street to Angela Boulevard, by way of North Shore Drive, eliminating the <br />damaging of the new paving on North Shore Drive. <br />A drawing of the new extension of 4" gas main on Gertrude Street from Ewing <br />Avenue to first alley south of Fairview Avenue, submitted by the Northern Indiana <br />Public Service Company, with request for permission for its installation, was examined <br />and approved. <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />0 <br />
