<br />at 10:00 A. 1,71. Mr. I. A. Hurwich was

<br />THIS INDENTURE, WITTFESSETH:
<br />That The Light Company, Incorporated, a corporation of Indiana with domicile at
<br />South Bend, Indiana, and the owner of the real estate hereinafter described, for the
<br />consideration of One Dollar ($1.00) and other valuable consideration, the -receipt of
<br />which is hereby acknowledged, does hereby deed and quit claim and dedicate to the City
<br />of South Bend, Indiana, a strip of land across its premises in said city for the pur-
<br />pos0_ of a highway described as follows:
<br />Beginning on the Southeast corner of the West One-half
<br />(172) of the Northeast Quarter (1/4) of Section Eight (8)
<br />Township Thirty -Seven (37) North, Range Three (3), East,
<br />thence North on the said West one-half (1/2) section line
<br />to the North line of Washington Street, projected East and
<br />West, thence West on the North line of said 14-ashington
<br />Street projected East and West, a distance of Thirty (30)
<br />feet, thence South parallel with the West one-half (1/2)
<br />section line to the South line of the said Northeast Quarter
<br />(1/4), thence East on the South line of said 'Vest half of
<br />the Northeast Quarter, to place of beginning.
<br />The Light Company, Incorporated hereby releases the City of South Bend from all
<br />damages by reason of the laying out and opening of of said highway.
<br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Light Company has hereunto set its hand and seal this
<br />2nd day of March, 1953.

<br />the Board with`the above dedication, which the Board accepted,and the Clerk was directed
<br />to proceed with the proper recordinj of same. Recorded in the office of the County

<br />The Board next re-examined the bids of Office Engineers, Inc., and Business Systems
<br />opened`at the regular meeting of February 16th, and rejected both bids, directing the
<br />Clerk to proceed to re -advertise for the desks required for the Council Chambers, offeri
<br />the used wooden desks for trade-in.
<br />The Board re-examined the bids opened at the regular meeting of February 9th to
<br />supply a business coupe for the Board of Health. Both of the bids received were rejected
