5671 <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, City Engineer., recommends petition of Leroy D. Davis and twelve <br />others for the improvement of NAPOLEON BOULEVARD for a Class "C" Pavement be granted. <br />Wilbur H. Gartner and Associates were ordered to prepare plans and specifications <br />for construction of Class "C" Pavement on NAPOLEON BOULEVARD. <br />ALLEY BETWEEN ADAPTS STREET AND COLLEGE STREET PAVEhT;NT <br />The Petition of J. Roy Smith and fifteen others for the improvement of ALLEY <br />BETWEEN ADAMS STREET AND COLLEGE STREET from the north line of Vassar Avenue to <br />the South line of Humboldt Street was received and placed on file. <br />The Petition of J. Roy Smith and fifteen others for the improvement of ALLEY BETWEEN <br />ADAMS STREET AND COLLEGE STREET from the north line of Vassar Avenue to the south line <br />of Humboldt Street by constructing a Class "C" Type 1 Pavement was referred to the <br />City Engineer. <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, City Engineer, recommends petition of J. Roy Smith and fifteen <br />others for the improvement of ALLEY BETWEEN ADAMS STREET AND COLLEGE STREET for a <br />Class "C" Pavement be granted. <br />• Wilbur H. Gartner & Associates were ordered to prepare plans and specifications <br />for construction of a Class "C" Pavement of ALLEY BETWEEN ADATVIS STREET AND COLLEGE <br />STREET. <br />A Surety Bond in the sum of $3,000.00, submitted by Standard Oil Company to replace <br />Certified Check accompanying their bid on asphalt products, accepted by the Board at <br />a subsequent regular meeting of recent date, was approved by the Board. <br />i An Excavator's Bond in the sum of10,000.OQ for Niles Excavating Company, was <br />j examined and approved by the Board. <br />i• Excavator's Bond in the amount of N1,000.00 for Joseph W. Turnoek was examined <br />and approved -by the Board. <br />TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT: <br />The Traffic Department's need for ten 8-foot traffic signal posts, obtainable at <br />the price of $412.00 each,from the South Bend Electric Company, was brought to the <br />attention of the Board. The Board approved the release of Purchase Order NO.BW1276 <br />to cover this purchase. <br />The Traffic Department's need for eight 2-way one -section adjustable signals was <br />brought to the attention of the Board and the Clerk was directed to proceed with the <br />. purchase of this equipment in accordance with specifications furnished by the Traffic <br />Engineer, E. H. Miller. <br />Authorization was given by the Board for the purchase of three 2-way three, -section <br />signals for L" post mounting underground feed, need by the Traffic Department, and <br />the Clerk was.,directed to proceed to obtain this equipment. <br />There being no further busines to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned <br />at 11: 45 A.
