Erler, <br />the,Board directed the Clerk to proceed with the legal advertising for bids. <br />The matter of paving Mishawaka Avenue for the distance of 1320 feet from <br />. Twypkenham Drive to Greenlawn Avenue in front of the John Adams High School, was next <br />given attention by the Board, and the following resolution was adopted: <br />RESOLVED that we hereby instruct the Engineering Department to prepare plans <br />and specifications with which to proceed with the paving of Mishawaka Avenue, immediatel <br />in front of the grounds occupied by the John Adams High School, from Twyckenham Drive <br />to Greenlawn Avenue. <br />Some discussion took place, but no action was taken in the matter of the installing <br />of needed islands and signals, and the urgency for re -surfacing, at the intersection <br />of Bendix Drive and Westmoor. <br />In the absence of board member, Granville P. Ziegler, whose advice and concurrence <br />in the matter of the proposed washing of walls, ceilings, and woodwork of the lobbies <br />and certain offices in the City Hall, the Board took no action on the quotations <br />received to perform this work. <br />I <br />The Board approved Excavation Bonds, each in the sum of 81,000.00, for Strohm <br />Construction Company, Mishawaka, Indiana, and Edward J. White, Inc., South Bend Indiana, <br />and also Contractorts Bond, in the sum of 01,000.00 for Lafayette Pfiacumber & Sons, Inc. <br />Elkhart, Indiana. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned <br />at ll:1�5 A.
