458 <br />The proposal of Daniel Radmanovich to provide a bench for bus patrons at suitable <br />,bus stops, to be for advertising purposes, was given further consideration and the <br />IlBoard will sanction the benches Mr. Radmanovich desires to install, provided he will j <br />jenter into a contract to maintain them in good condition, keep a reasonable area in. <br />;the vicinity of each bench clear of such rubbish as bottles and waste -paper, keep the <br />advertising signs brightly painted and permit the Board to pass on all advertising copy <br />to be used, as well as furnish satisfactory public liability bond and property damage <br />insurance. <br />An Excavator's Bond•in the amount of $5,000.00 for Rieth-Riley Construction Company • <br />was examined andapprovedby the Board, as was.also $1,000.00 Bond for Fred Spromberg. <br />The following Contractor's Bonds, each in the amount of-$1,000.00 were examined and I <br />1 approved: <br />STANLEY J. MEZYKOWSKI <br />HERRON PQURRAY <br />ODEN R. ROBERTSON <br />WALTER SZYMC ZAK <br />DONALD R. YEAGLEY <br />A Sign -Board and Bill -Board Bond in the amount of $1,000.00 for Harold F. Haenes <br />was examined and ordered filed. <br />A complaint in regard to method of garbage pick-up in the 3300 Block of East <br />Jefferson Boulevard was brought.to the attention of the Board. The Board conceded that <br />the method described in the complaint is that in general practice throughout that <br />particular area and will have to be complied with by the residents of that section. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned <br />at 11:45 A.M. <br />Attest: GG ✓T <br />Clerk <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />July 10, 1952 <br />A Special Meeting of the Board of Public Works was held in accordance with legal <br />notice of hearings on Thursday evening, July 10, 1952 at 6:30 P.M. (CST) , relative to <br />the following Improvements Resolution's: <br />Resolution No. 2718 - Improvement of Randolph Street from the east line of <br />Sampson Street to the west line of Ironwood Drive by constructing a Class "C" pavement. <br />Resolution No. 2720 - Improvement of Elwood Avenue from the west line of O'Brien <br />Street to the east line of Elmer Street by constructing a Class "C" pavement. <br />Members present were R. S. Andrysiak and Irving A. Hurwich. The meeting was <br />called to order at 7:45 D.S.T. P,Ir. Andrysiak explained the Barrett Law procedure to <br />the assembled property owners in detail and answered questions.
