Twenty-sixth Street <br />from the North boundary line of Tuxedo Park Second Subdivision of lots in Jefferson <br />Heights Addition to the City of South Bend North a distance of 605.9 feet to the South <br />line of McKinley Avenue under vacation resolution No. 2701. <br />In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written re- <br />monstrances were filed, the Clerk of the Board submitted proofs of publication of <br />notices and same were found sufficient, and the Board, therefore, finds that the <br />several lots and parcels of land have been benefited and damaged in the amounts shown <br />on said roll. The Board, therefore, decided to take final action on said assessment <br />roll and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modifi- <br />cation and the proceedings closed, and the alleys and streets vacated upon receipt of <br />the amount of benefit assessments from the various property owners so benefited and <br />all proceedings had with reference to said alleys and streets vacation are hereby <br />sustained. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board the meeting adjourned <br />at 12:00 Noon. <br />ATTEST: <br />Clerk <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />April 23, 1952 <br />A special meeting of the Board of Public Works was held in accordance with <br />legal advertising Wednesday evening, April 23, 1952 for the purpose of a hearing <br />in connection with the following Improvement Resolutions: <br />No. 2702 - Improvement of Illinois Street by Class "C" Pavement <br />from the north line of Western Avenue to -the South line <br />of Washington St. <br />No. 2703 - Improvement of Alleys between Fox Street, Donald Street, <br />Dale Avenue, and Miami Street by Class t'C" Pavement. <br />No. 2709 - Improvement of Klinger Street by Class "C" Pavement from <br />the East line of Michigan Street to West line of Charles <br />Street. <br />No. 2712 - Improvement of Alley between Brookfield and Johnson Streets <br />by Class "C" Pavement from the North line of Vassar Avenue <br />to South line of Humboldt Street. <br />No. 2715 - Improvement of Kenmore Street by Class "C" Pavement from <br />South line of Western Avenue to North line of Ford Street. <br />Member of the Board, Granville P. Ziegler was absent. The meeting was called <br />to order by Ray S. Andrysiak, chairman of the Board, at 7:30 P. M. <br />Mr. Andrysiak first acquainted the large group of citizens present with the <br />purpose of the meeting, and then explained the fundamentals of the Barrett Law and <br />the various steps in Barrett Law procedure from the petition of the property owners <br />to final completion and acceptance of the improvement from the contractor concerned. <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />
