In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that it will meet in the <br />City Hall at 11:00 A. M. on the 25th day of February, 1952 for the purpose of hearing <br />and receiving remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by said vacation, <br />and the Board further orders that notice of said hearing,.together with the amount of <br />damages awarded and benefits assessed be addressed to the property owners by publishing <br />same on the 15th and2lst day of February, 1952 in the South Bend Daily Tribune and <br />the Tri-County°News. <br />The Excavation Bond of R. E. Kuehl appeared before the Board, as legal representative for <br />The Dependable Disposal Co., Inc., <br />and presented Petition for increase in compensation <br />for collection and disposal of garbage for the City of South Bend in the amount of <br />08,000.00 for the year 1952 over and above the amount provided in current contract <br />entered into November 7, 1949, with the specified termination date of January <br />1, 1955- <br />Mr. I. W. Cripe also appeared before the <br />Board with Attorney Kuehl in this,matter <br />and the matter was discussed in considerable <br />detail. It was decided by the Board to <br />take the Petition under advisement <br />for prompt attention. Attorney Kuehl will <br />be <br />notified as soon as the Board is in position <br />to act on this petition. <br />Mr. Bert Liss, representing the Indiana Cab Co., and a representative of the <br />Ohio Oil Co. came before the Board in the matter of the gasoline leakage and seepage <br />at their premises which has seriously interfered with the tunneling operations in <br />which the City is engaged on Niles Avenue. Mr. Liss stated that they will proceed <br />within a short time to remove the 10,000 gallon tank from which this gasoline is <br />believed to be escaping. <br />City Engineer, Ray S. Andrysiak, asked that he be notified when removal operations <br />0' <br />
