<br />WHEREAS, a plat with dedication of streets and alleys indicated thereon is now pre-
<br />sented to the Board, to be known as Whitcomb & Keller's Beverly Heights Tenth Addition;
<br />also Replat of lots 105 to 109 inclusive, Whitcomb & Keller's Beverly Heights %}th Addi-
<br />tion; also Replat of Lots 120 to 132 Whitcomb & Kellerts Beverly Heights 5th .Addition,
<br />an addition to South Bend, Indiana, and
<br />This plat and dedication is filed in the records of the Board of Public Works and
<br />Safety in Row # i -e, Drawer # 5" , and recorded in Book #`g," , Page.? -L_ in the Recorder t s
<br />Office of St. Joseph County.
<br />NOW$ THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
<br />of South Bend, Indiana, that all public streets, alley and public places dedicated to
<br />the public use in said plat are hereby accepted and approved by said Board for and on
<br />behalf of the City of South Bend, Indiana.
<br />The Board approved plans for a pavement on Charles Street from Chippewa Avenue to
<br />Klinger Street,
<br />STREET DEPARTMENT: Melton 0. Brannan, Street Commissioner, was present and matters per-
<br />taining to his department were discussed.
<br />CEMETERY DEPARTMENT: Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertaining to
<br />his department were discussed.
<br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned
<br />at 11:00 a.m.
<br />November 19, 1951
<br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Monday, November 19,
<br />1951, at 9:30 a.m. All members were present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read
<br />and approved. Salary claims in the amount of $32,411.32 were approved and ordered paid.

<br />ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: Contractors bonds in the amount of $1,000,00 each were approved
<br />and filed for Wil iam Frankfort, Midland Engineering, Co. Inc., and William H. Burke and
<br />Robert H. Burke.
<br />A petition was received asking for the vacation of Howard Street from Twyckenham
<br />Drive to White Oak Drive. .This was referred to the City Plan Commission for investi-
<br />gation and report.
<br />The Board approved plans for a sewer on Elmer Street from Keller Street to a point
<br />485 feet North of Marquette Boulevard, and a sewer on Marquette Boulevard from Elmer
<br />Street to Huey Street for Better Homes, Inc.,
<br />The Board approved plans for a sewer on Corby Boulevard from Ironwood Drive to the
<br />Centerline of Section 5, T 37 N, R 3)5, sheets one of two sheets and sheet two of two
<br />sheets for the Crown Development Company..
<br />The Board approved plans for a lift station for McKinley Terrace Addition for Crown
<br />Development Co. Inc.,
<br />The Board approved plans for pavement walk and curb on Chicago Street from Lincoln
<br />Way West north to South line of alley
