ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: An Excavation Bond was approved and ordered filed for John B. Hendricks. A petition was received requesting the vacation of Bowman Street from the west side of Main Street to the Pennsylvania rdlroad tracks. This was referred to the City Plan Commission for investigation and report. i A petition w,s received requesting the vacation of the alley running north and sout from Western Avenue to Monroe Street between Columbia and Carroll Streets. Andrysiak, City Engineer, filed primary assessment roll showing the awards of damages and the assessments of benefits in the matter of the vacation of the north and south alley between Webster Street and Arnold Street from the north line of Ewing Avenue to the south line of the first east and west alley north of Ewing Avenue under Vacation Resolution No. 2690. In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that itw ill meet in the City Hall at 11.00 a.m., on the 26th day of November for the purpose of hearing and receiving remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by said vacation, and • the Board further orders that notice of said hearing, together with the amount of damage awarded and benefits assessed be addressed to the property owners by publishing same on the 9th day of November and on the 16th day of November, 1951, in the South Bend Daily Tribune and the Weekly Record.
