:3 <br />j f � , <br />A letter was received from the City Plan Commission indicating that they recommend <br />the vacation of the alley south of California Avenue from Wilbur Street to Adams Street. <br />The City Engineering Department w4s directed to prepare a vacation resolution for same. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2689, 1951 <br />RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: That it is <br />desirable to vacate the following: <br />• <br />°A PART OF KLINGER STREET as shown on the recorded plat of Whitcomb and Keller's <br />Beverly Heights 5th Addition, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the <br />I north line of Klinger Street 50 feet east of the southwest corner of Lot Numbered <br />120 of said addition; thence easterly on the north line of Klinger Street 122 <br />feet to the southeast corner of Lot Numbered 122 of said addition; thence south <br />19 degrees, 15 feet east, 12 feet to a point due east of the place of beginning - <br />thence <br />west to,the place of beginning. Noble, Clerk 2T-12-19 BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY <br />1 <br />i <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2686, 1951 <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll showing the award <br />of damages and the assesment of benefits in the matter of Vacation of FIRST ALLEY VEST <br />OF SCOTT STREET from Lincoln inlay West to the south line of the alley north of Lincolnway <br />West under Vacation Resolution No. 2686. <br />�j <br />In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written remon- <br />strances were filed, the Clerk of the Board submitted proofs of publication of notices <br />j and same were found sufficient, and the Board, therefore, finds that the several lots <br />j' and parcels of land have been benefited and damaged in the amounts shown on said roll. <br />The Board, therefore, decided to take final action on said assessment roll and declares <br />same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification and the proceed. <br />ings closed, and the alley vacated upon receipt of the amount of benefit assessments froz <br />the various property owners so benefited and,all proceedings had with reference to said <br />alley vacation are hereby sustained. <br />SEWAGE DISPOSAL: The Board approved Change Order #2 for Contract 3A of the Intercepting <br />Sewer for the Niles Excavating Company for resurfacing North Shore Drive between Angela <br />Boulevard and Parkovash Avenue. <br />• <br />The Board approved Change Order #3 for Contract 2A of the Intercepting Sewer for <br />Thomas D. Nolan, Contractor, for sinking a shaft approximately.300 feet south of the <br />original location in the 54 inch tunnel on Miles Avenue. <br />STREET DEPARTMENT: Melton 0.
