<br />Mr. Ralph Kinyon, 2206 Miami Street, appeared before the Board to ask permission to
<br />construct a permanent type canopy on a building at the above address, which will extend
<br />two (2) feet over the sidewalk. Permission was granted.
<br />Mr. Fisher, representing the United Fund, appeared before the Board to ask permissio
<br />to -,place posters advertising the United Fund on the electric lamp posts in down town Sout
<br />Bend. The Board granted permission provided the posters will not be fastened to the post
<br />with wire or in any way that will injure the finish of the post.
<br />The Board approved plans for a pavement on Addison Street from Jennings Avenue to
<br />Klinger Street,
<br />STREET DEPARTMENT. Melton 0. Brannan, Street Commissioner, was present and matters per-
<br />taining to his department were discussed.
<br />CEMETERY DEPARTMENT: Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was -present and matters pertaining to
<br />,his department were discussed.
<br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned

<br />Illinois and Wellington Streets, north of Western Avenue. This was referred to Mr. Mille
<br />for investigation and report.
<br />BUSSES: A letter was received from the Northern Indiana Transit, Inc., ackno*ledging
<br />rece p of the petition for the extension of bus service on South Bend Avenue and indicat
<br />ing that a report will be made within the next week.
<br />ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: Contractor's Bond was approved and ordered filed for Paul Pocza.
<br />An Excavation Bond was approved and ordered filed for Goheen Plumbing & Heating Com-
<br />pany, Inc., Mishawaka, Indiana.
<br />A petition was received asking for the construction of a permanent type pavement on
<br />South Illinois Street from Washington Street to Jefferson Street, This was referred to
<br />the City Engineer for investigation.
