<br />To Whom It May Concern:
<br />Notice is hereby given, that the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of
<br />South Bend, Indiana, on the 6th day of August, 1951, at the hour of 10:00 AM -CST, at the
<br />office of the. Board, in the City Hall, in said City, will open and consider sealed bids,
<br />and designate by preliminary order the kind of pavement to be used, for the following
<br />described Street improvements, as provided for in Improvement Resolution No. 2643-1950,
<br />duly passed by said Board on June 25, 1951, and confirmed on July 23, 1951, to wit:
<br />RANDOLPH STREET from the east line of 'lwyekenham Drive to the west line of Robinson St.,
<br />by constructing a Class "C" pavement, AND
<br />VINE STREET from the east line of Twenty-sixth Street to the west line of Twenty-seventh
<br />Street.by constructing a Class "C".pavement,/AND
<br />under Vacation Resolution No. 2672�1951
<br />TWENTIETH STREET from the south line of Mishawaka Avenue to the south lira of Hammond &
<br />Whitcomb's Addition by constructing a Class "C" pavement, under Vacation Resolution No.
<br />2673-1951.
<br />Provided, all bids for the construction of said work, shall be filed in the office
<br />of the Clerk of the Board of Public Works and Safety of said City before 10:00 o'clock
<br />AM -CST of said day.
<br />Each bidder for said work shall enclose with his bid a Certified Check payable to
<br />the Treasurer of said City, in the sum of two and one-half (22) per cent of the amount of��
<br />his bid or a bid bond for two and one-half (22) per cent of the amount of his bid, to ins-
<br />sure the execution of Contract, if said work is awarded to him.
<br />Detailed plans and specifications for said imp? ove_ments are on file in the office
<br />of the .Board of Public Works and Safety.
<br />The Board of Public Works and Safety reserves the right to reject any and all bids.'
