Knutson; Oden_R. Robertson; and Snyder & May General <br />Mason Contractors. <br />I; <br />i <br />Excavation Bonds were approved and ordered filed for the Indiana Bell Telephone Co.,'; <br />and George E. Sibley Company. js <br />A petition was received asking for the improvement of Illinois Street by a pavement <br />from Washington Street to Linden Avenue. This was referred to the City Engineer for in- <br />vestigation and report. <br />A petition was received asking for the vacation of the first alley south of Califor <br />nia from Wilbur Street to the first alley west of Wilbur Street; and, also, the first <br />alley south of California from Adams Street to the first alley east of Adams Street. Th <br />was referred to the City Plan Commission for investigation and report. <br />A letter was received from the Indiana and Michigan Electric Company asking permiss <br />to remove and replace sidewalks over transformer vaults at nine locations in the South <br />Bend business district. Permission was granted for the said remodeling. <br />A Certificate of Insurance was filed by the Reed Construction Company on cars and <br />motor vehicles. <br />The New York Central Railroad Company withdrew their remonstrance against the asses- <br />sment roll on Improvement Resolution Number 2644-1950 and the Board now confirms the said <br />Assessment Roll. - <br />VACATION RESD LUTION NO. 2678 <br />This being the date set, hearing was had on the resolution heretofore adopted by thei <br />Board of Public Works for the vacation of alley between Main and Michigan Streets from <br />Navarre Street north to the south line of the alley north of Navarre Street under Vacati.oll <br />Resolution No. 2678. The vacation of this alley having been approved contingent to plans; <br />bearing the signature of approval of the various utilities, whose facilities are involved; <br />in this alley, and said plans not having been received by the Board to date, hearing on <br />said vacation resolution is now continued until Monday, July 30 at 11:00 a.m. <br />
