There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned. at 11:15 a.m. • !ATTEST: 0 a July 2, 1951 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Monday, July 2,,, 1951 at 9:30 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Salary claims in the amount of $29,192.78 were approved and ordered paid. Claims of the following suppliers in the amount of $11m,656.53 were approved and ordered paid: Indiana Bell Telephone Indiana Michigan Elec. Co. Indiana Michigan Elec. Co. Indiana Michigan Elec. Co. Casimer' s Super Market SEWAGE DISPOSAL: South Bend Tribune, $ 9.30 10,634.14 170,92 423.99 23.61 195.00 Northern Indiana Wholesale Groc.$ 22.20 Northwestern Transit Co. 2. 13 Royal Typewriter Co. 32.00 Schwarz Paper Co. 61.45 South Bend Tribune 6.83 PARKING METER DEPARTMENT: 24.96 Maurice Vennet 50.00 TRAFFIC ENGINEER: Ernest Miller, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters pertaining to his department were discussed. Stop signs were approved by the Board for the following locations: On Kentucky Street at Dunham Street, both sides. On Napier Street at Maple Street, both sides. BUSSES: Mr. Hahn of the Northern Indiana Transit, appeared before the Board in regard to a change in the Rum Village Bus Route, which the Board had taken under advisement. The Board approved the change in the. route and Mr. Hahn informed the Board that the change would go into effect on July 8, 1951. Notices of the change in route would be posted in public places by Northern Indiana Transit. ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: 'Contractorts bonds were approved and ordered filed for Lucian A. Szymanski, John C. Gillstrap, Edmund L. Kolupa, Herron Murray, Tommy Thomas and Earl J. Orrington, Jr., An Excav,_tion bond was. approved and ordered filed for Fred Spromberg. VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2678 RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC VO RKSOF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: That it is desirable to vacate the following. - The alley West of Michigan Street and East of Main Street from the North line of Navarre Street to the South Line of the first alley North of Navarre Street. !1 i The following property may be injuriously or beneficially effected by such vacation: • Lots numbered nine (9) to fifteen (15) inclusive, and nineteen (19) to twenty- eight (96) inclusive in Bartlett's First Addition. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 6th day of July raid on the 13th- day of July, 1951 in the South Bend Daily Tribune and the Weekly Mirror. (Record) This Board, at its office in the City Hall on the 23rd day of July, 1951 at 10:00 A.M.
