Baer <br />BOARD OF D WORYZ & SAFETY <br />• IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTIONS <br />Nos. 2643J 2672 and 2673 - 1951 <br />1950 <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />June 25, 1951 <br />Be lt!;Resolved, By the Board of Public Works and Sfifety of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana, that it is deemed necessary to i#prove RANDOLPH STREET from the east line of <br />Twyckenham Drive to the west line of Robinson Street,AND <br />• VINE STREET from the east line if Twenty-sixth Street to the westline of Twenty-seventh <br />Street, AND <br />TWENTIETH STREET from the south line of Mishav&a Avenue to the south line of Hammond & <br />Whitcomb Addition by constructing Class nCn pavements. <br />The same to be done in accordance with the profiles, drawings, plans, general details <br />and specifications of such improvements approved June 25, 1951, and to be adopted by the <br />Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, immediately upon the final <br />adoption of th&se resolutions, and placed on file in the office of the City Civil Engineer <br />of Said City, nn.d such improvements are now ordered. <br />- i <br />• ' The total cost of said improvements, including all incidental costs such as advertis- <br />ing, abstracting, inspection and engineering, shall be assessed upon the real estate abut` <br />ting on said Randolph Street, Vine Street and Twentieth Street to be improved, all aocordL <br />j ing to the Method and manner provided for in an Act of the General Assembly of the State <br />of Indiana, entitled, "An Act Concerning Municipal Corporations" approved March 6th, 1905; <br />and in accordance with_ and pursuant to the provisions of all amendatory and supplemental <br />acts thereto, passed bythe General Assembly of the State of indiana. Assessments, if <br />deferred, are to be paid in ten equal installments, with interest at the rate of six (6) 1 <br />per cent per annum. (A bond or bonds shall be issued to the contractor in payment of <br />assessments, as the several owners of real estate upon which they are a lien exercise the; <br />right to pay the same in ten equal installments.) Under no circumstances shall the City <br />of South Bend, Indian, be or be held responsible for any sum or sums due from said properir <br />• ty owner or owners for said work, or for certificate or certificates, bond or bonds, iss od <br />to said contractor in payment for such work, except for such moneys as shall have been <br />
