It is specifically made a condition hereof that the Studebaker Corp., does not by
<br />the foregoing acquire, and shall not hereby assert that it has acquired, legal title to
<br />any part of said street and sidewalk. It is a further condition that the Studebaker
<br />Corp., shall, upon receiving 90 days written notice in advance by the Board of Public
<br />Works and Safety, remove its rails and replace the sidewalk area at its own expense and
<br />return same for the use of the public. That a copy of this resolution be sent to the
<br />Studebaker Corp., and that they be authorized to proceed with the necessary work forthwith.
<br />BUSSES: A letter was received from Northern Indiana Transit, Inc., indicating that they
<br />had investigated the complaints of Mr. Charles Anderson relative to the bus service on
<br />the Corby line and will endeavor to see that the conditions are corrected.
<br />TAXI CABS: Upon the recommendation of the Traffic Engineer, the Independent Cab Company
<br />was granted permission to maintain a taxi cab stand at the,North East corner of Main
<br />and Washington Streets on the East side of Main Street at the first parking meter North
<br />of Washington Street.
<br />RAILROADS: A letter was received from the Grand Trunk Railway Systems indicating that
<br />they will install a street light at their grade crossing at 35th Street as. soon as material
<br />can be obtained.
<br />ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: Contractor's Bonds were approved and ordered filed for Ralph
<br />Keller; Jr.; and Place and Company, Incorporated.
<br />A $10,000 Excavation Bond was approved and ordered filed for Place and Company,
<br />Incorporated.
<br />An EXcavation Bond was approved and ordered filed for Oden R. Robertson.
<br />The following letter was received from the Rieth-Riley Construction Company:
<br />This letter will serve to notify the City of South Bend of the expiration date of
<br />the guaranty period on the following street improvements contracted under Barrett Law
<br />improvement bonds. Said notice is required by the general contract specifications prior
<br />to expiration of the guaranty period:

<br />RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: That it
