240 The First East-West alley South Of Wilson Street from the east line of 24th Street, East a distance of 588 feet to the East line of Lots No. 9 and 24 in Tuxedo Park First Addition of Lots in Jefferson Heights Addition. The following property may be .injuriously or beneficially effected by such vacation: Lots numbered 1 to 16 inclusive Lucas Sub -Division and Lots numbered 1 to 33 inclusive in Tuxedo Park First Addition of Lots in Jefferson Heights Addition AND Lots numbered 34 to 42 inclusive in Tuxedo Park Second Addition of Lots in Jefferson Heights Addition. Notice of this Resolution shall be published Dn the 9.th day of March and on the 16th day of March, 1951, in the South Bend Daily Tribune and the Weekly Record. This Board, at its office in the City Hall on the 26th day of March, 1951, at 11:00 a.m., will hear and receive remonstrances from all, persons interested in or affected by theze proceedings. Bruggner BOARD OF PUBLIC .VORKS & SAFETY The Board approved a plat of Hartman's William Morris Addition formerly Lot No. 338, Coquillard Proposed Farm Plat Unrecorded. The Board approved plans for the resurfacing of Main Street from Western Avenue to LaSalle Street. The Board approved plans for the widening of William Street from Washington Street to Western Avenue. A petition was received asking for the improvement of Vassar Street from Olive to OtBrien Street by the construction of pavement, curb and -sidewalks. This was referred to the Engineering Department. STREET DEPARTMENT: Melton 0. Brannan, Street Commissioner, was present and matters per- taining to his Department were discussed. The following bids were received by the Board for materials for use in the Street Department and the Board felt that because of the difference in prices of these bids and those previously received and because of the easy access to their yards, these bids shou also be accepted: Kuert Concrete, Inc., 3113 Lincoln Way West South Bend, Indiana Ready mixed concrete in following strengths, using gravel as the coarse aggregate: 2500# - FOB Plant - per cu. yd. $7.55 3000# - FOB Plant - per cu. yd. 7.85 3500# - FOB Plant - per cu. yd. 8.40 Ready mixed concrete in following strengths using crushed limestone as the coarse aggregate: 2500# - FOB Plant - per cu. yd. 8.85 3000# - FOB Plant - per cu. yd. 9.15 3500# - FOB Plant - per cu. yd. 9.70 A Non -Collusion Affida- vit accompanied the bid.
