225 • 9 CEMETERY DEPARTMENT: Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertaining to his Department were discussed. Mr. Leszczynski presented his Annual Report for the year of 1950. PARKING METER DEPARTMENT: Maurice C. Vennet, Auditor, presented his report for the week ending January 6, 1951. 11 There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at ,11:00 a.m. ATTEST: January 15, 1951 IC 0ORKS & SAFETY A regular meeting of the Board of Public Vorks was held on Monday, January 15, 1951, at 9:30 a.m. All members were present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Salary Claims in the amount of $26,114.55 were approved and ordered paid. Government Printing Office 11.07 SEWAGE DISPOSAL: Consoer, Townsend & Associates 7.69 Consoer, Townsend & Associates 118.85 16.24 1.00 375.00 180.00 TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT: Ernest Miller, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters pertaining to his Department were discussed. Mr. Miller informed the Board that Leo Benson an employee of the Traffic Engineering Department fell from a ladder,while at 4ork,fracturing his right heel and ankle. 1ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: Excavation Bonds were approved and ordered filed for John R'. �Rensberger;and, Slutzky Plumbing I- Heating Company, Inc.. The S-L-A-B Ccnstruction Company filed a Performance Bond for the Door Remodeling at No. 4 Fire Station. DEDICATION WHEREAS, a plat with dedication of streets and alleys indicated thereon is now pre- sented to the Board, to be known as Tveyckenham dills Section "E" ;_an.additiQi)� to South Bend, Indiana, and This plat and dedication is filed in the records cf the Board of Public VVcrks and Safety in Row # , Drawer # , and recorded in Book '18, PageT , in the Recorder's ;Office of St. Joseph County. NOT, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Beard of Public Works and Safety of the City Hof South Bend, Indiana, that all public streets, alley and public places dedicated to the ;public use, in said plat are hereby accepted and approved by said Board for and on behalf of the City of South Bend, Indiana. STREET DEPARTMENT: Melton 0. Brannan, Street Commissioner, was present and matters per- taining to his Department were discussed. PARKING METER DEPARTMENT: Maurice C. Dickinson an employee of the Parking Meter Departmen ;indicating that he had slipped while on duty and injured his back.
