<br />VACATION RESOLUTIONS NOS. 2655, 2656 and 2657
<br />This being the date set for hearings of assessment rolls on Vacation Resolution No.
<br />2655, First alley south of Calvert Street from William Street to the west line of alley
<br />east of Williams Street; AND No. 2656, First alley south of Fredrickson Street from O'BriE
<br />Street to the east line of the north and south alley and from the west line of the north
<br />and south alley to Huey Street; AND No. 2657, First alley south of Ford Street from Grant
<br />Street to the east line of northand south alley, and from the west line of north a nd soutl
<br />alley to Warren Street, the hearings are now continued until Monday, November 27, 1950 at
<br />11:00 a.m.
<br />STREET DEPARTMENT: Melton 0. Brannan,:.Street Commissioner, was present and matters per-
<br />taining to his Department were discussed.
<br />A letter was received from the Association of Commerce in which they guarantee:., that
<br />the Association would pay for the electrical current used in illuminating the Christmas
<br />street decorations. This was placed on file.
<br />PARKING METER DEPARTMENT: Maurice C. Vennet, Auditor, presented his report for the week
<br />ending November 11, 1950.
<br />CEMETERY DEPARTMENT: Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertaining to
<br />his Department were discussed.
<br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned
<br />at 11:00 a.m.

<br />Mr. Miller informed the Board that he had referred a petition for a traffic signal
<br />at Lawndale and Lincoln Way West to the State Highway Commission, inasmuch as, Lincoln
<br />Way West is a°State Highway. The petitioners were so notified.
<br />Mr. Miller informed the Board that the following stop signs have been,.installed:
<br />On %elling Street at Ford Street, both sides
<br />On Vassar Street at College Street, both sides
<br />On Dunham Street at Wellington, northeast corner
<br />Cn California at College Street, both sides
<br />The following stop signs have been replaced with Scotchlite Signs:
<br />Kaley Street at Ford Street, both sides
<br />Vassar Avenue at Blain Avenue, both sides
<br />Fassnacht Street at Walnut Street, southwest corner.
