<br />WHEREAS-, a plat with dedication of streets and alleys indicated thereon is now
<br />;presented to the Board, to be known as Plat.of Part of Block,1/F" in Garden Village 2nd
<br />j Unit, and part of Block "A" in Garden Village 3rd Unit, Additions to the City of South
<br />Bend, Indiana, and

<br />WHEREAS, this plat and dedication is filed in the records of the Board of Public
<br />:Works and Safety in row #18, Drawer #5, and,recorded in Book 18 Page G. Book 18 in the
<br />Recorderts Office of St. Joseph County,
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
<br />''of South Bend, Indiana, that all public streets, alleys and public places dedicated to
<br />the public use in said plat are hereby accepted and approved by said Board for and on
<br />behalf of the City of South Bend, Indiana.
<br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2653
<br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll showing the award
<br />of damages and the assessment of benefits in the matter of the vacation of the alley
<br />• North of Western Avenue from Franklin Street to the West line of the alley West of La -
<br />Fayette Boulevard, under Vacation Resolution No. 2653.

<br />In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written remon-
<br />strances were filed, the Clerk of the Board submitted proofs of publication of notices,
<br />and same were found sufficient. The Board, therefore, finds that the several lots and
<br />parcels of land have been benefitted and damaged in the amounts shown on said roll. The
<br />Board, therefore, decides to take final action on said assessment roll and declares aame
<br />in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification and the proceedings
<br />closed, and the alley vacated upon receipt of the amount of benefit assessments from
<br />the various property owners so benefitted and all proceedings had with reference to
<br />said alley vacation are hereby sustained. j
<br />STREET DEPARTMENT: Mr. Melton O. Brannan, Street Commissioner, was present and matters
<br />pertaining to his department were discussed.
<br />CEMETERY DEPARTMENT: Mr. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertaining
<br />to his department were discussed.
<br />PARKING METER DEPARTMENT: Mr. Maurice Vennet, Auditor, presented his report for the
<br />week ending October 7, 1950.
<br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned
<br />at 11:00 A.M. /
