They ask that the <br />crossing be protected by either a patrolman or one of the auxiliary patrolwomen. The pe. <br />tition was referred to Mr. Miller by the Board and Mr. Tuthill was informed that the Boar <br />would take the matter under consideration and a report will be made at their next regular; <br />meeting. <br />ENGINEERING DEPARTIvNT: Contractor's Bonds were approved and ordered filed for Ira C. <br />.,Mast of Elkhart, Indiana; and, T. This was referred to the Engineering De- <br />partment for the preparation of a vacation resolution. <br />A petition was received requesting the vacation of the first alley south of Ford <br />Street between Grant and Warren Streets. This was referred to the Engineering Department" <br />for the preparation of a vacation resolution. <br />A petition was received asking for the resurfacing of St. Joseph Street between Oak <br />side and Rfoodside Streets. This was referred to the City 'Engineer. <br />The Board approved plans for street improvements for the Colpaert Realty Company <br />for the following: Burbank Avenue; :Talton Avenue from Windsor Place to Lombardy Drive; <br />1 <br />i�,'indsor Avenue; Walton Avenue from Linden Avenue to V.'indsor Place; Villageway; and, Glad <br />stone Avenue from Iffashington Street to Linden Avenue. <br />The Board approved sewer plans for the Colpaert Realty Company for the following: <br />Lombardy Drive; Washington Street; Sylvan Lane; Garden Lane; Sample Street; Parkway; and <br />Scenic Drive. <br />Mr. Ralph Davenport, Plant Superintendent and Mr. Dan Kleitzman, Division Manager, ii <br />representing the Northern Public Service Company appeared before the Board to discuss come <br />plaints relative to obnoxious odors emanating from the gas plant. They stated that they <br />would look for the source of the bad odors and try to eliminate same.
