SL There is on file in the office of the City Controller of said City an assessment rol with the names of the owners and description of property subject to be assessed with the amount of the prima facia assessment, and can be seen in the office of said City Control- ler. The Board of Public Works and Safety of said City, at the office of the Board in sai City,.will on the 31st day of July, 1950, at 9:30 o'clock AM -CST receive and hear remon- strances against the amounts assessed against their property respectively, on said roll and will determine the question as -to whether such lots, or trants of land, have been or will be benefited by said Improvement to the amounts named on said roll, or is greater or less than that named on said roll or in any sum. Noble, Clerk BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY STREET DEPARTMENT: Mr. Melton 0. Brannan, Street Commissioner, was present and matters pertaining to his Department were discussed. A letter was received from C. H. Annala, Executive Director of the Housing Authority; requesting the use of city owned equipment and an operator to mow tall grass and weeds inl the housing projects. The Board granted his request and directed that he contact Mr. Brai- nan as to the time and the use of the equipment and the arrangements for paying fpr same.;; PARKING METER DEPARTMENT: Mr. Maurice C. Vennet, Auditor, presented his report for the week ending July 15, 1955. CEMETERY DEPARTMENT: Mr,*' Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertaining to his Department were discussed. There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 11:00 a.m. ATTEST: IAICZ& kv_�z July 24, 1950 Regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Monday, July 24, 1950 at 9:30 a.m. All members were present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approv- ed. The Board approved stop signs at the following locations: Huey Street at Elwood Avenue, both sides; and, Franklin Street at Ewing Avenue, northwest corner. An Agreement was entered into between the City of Mishawaka and the City of South Bend concerning the improvement of traffic conditions at the corner of Logan Street and Mishawaka Avenue. The City of Mishawaka agrees to construct certain islands, curb and sidewalk and necessary pavement and to pay for the electricity used by certain stop signs to be erected on said corner. The City of South Bend agrees to furnish, install and main tain four (4) signal lights (stop signs) at the said corner, including all wiring neces- sary to put and keep said signal lights in operation. This being the date set for receiving bids for one (1) Passenger Sedan for the Traf- fic Engineers Department, the following bid was opened and public read: Scherman-Schaus-Freeman Co., A Non -Collusion Affidavit with 520 S.
