148 <br />A complaint was received that the Fruehauf Trailer Company, 2425 West Western Avenue <br />was paint -spraying trucks outside their building and the paint -spray was being carried <br />by the wind to nearby homes and also they were burning oil -soaked rubbish. The Board di-1 <br />ree-ted that a letter be sent to the said Company asking that they have a representative <br />appear at the next regular meeting. <br />I <br />; <br />A letter was received from the owner of Lots Numbered 20, 21 and 22 in Corporon and j <br />Duck Eddition, asking that fill -.dirt and street sweepings be dumped on his property. Thel <br />Board directed that a letter be sent to the Street Commissioner informing him that he <br />might use the above location for the dumping of fill -dirt, street sweepings and broken �!: • <br />concrete. <br />Plans and profile drawings for a sewer for Drewrys Limited were approved by the <br />Board. <br />A petition was received asking for the improvement of Albert Street from West Ford <br />Street to West Sample Street by the construction of a pavement. This was referred to the <br />City Engineer for investigation and report, <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION RESCINDED <br />No. 2633.- 1950 • <br />South Bend, Indiana I <br />July 17, 1950 I` <br />Department of Public Works and Safety: <br />For the improvement of THIRTY-FOURTH STREET -from the south line of Mishawaka Avenue <br />to the north line of North Side Boulevard under Improvement Resolution No. 2633-1950, <br />adopted June 12, 1950 for the construction of a Class "C" Pavement. <br />After hearing all persons interested who appeared at the public hearing held for • <br />said improvement on July 6, 1950, and having received a written remonstrance on or before) <br />July 17, 1950, said date being the final day on which a remonstrance may be made against <br />said improvement, and said remonstrance bearing the signatures of 51 per cent or more of <br />the resident property owners on said street, who may be liable for assessment for said <br />improvement, therefore <br />BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, j <br />Indiana, that Improvement Resolution No. 2633-1950, duly passed by this Board on June 121 <br />1950 for the above improvement, be and the same is in all things rescinded and the improv`- <br />ment is hereby ordered not made. <br />(Signed) F.
