125 <br />NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNERS <br />Nos. 2626., 26279 26339 26349 2637 & 2638 1950 <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />a June 15, 1950 <br />June 22, 1950 <br />To Whom It May Concern: <br />:a <br />• Notice is hereby given by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana that it is deemed necessary to make the following described public improve- <br />jments in the City of South Bend, Indiana, authorized by the following numbered Improve- <br />Iment Resolutions, passed by said Board on the 12th day of June, 1950. <br />Improvement Resolution No. 2626-1950, for the improvement of MCKINLEY AVENUE from the east <br />Mine of Eddy Street to the west line of Walsh Street, AND <br />0 <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />0 <br />Improvement Resolution No. 2627-1950, for the improvement of POPLAR STREET from the west <br />line of Cleveland Avenue to the east line of the alley west of Cleveland Avenue, AND <br />Improvement Resolution No. 2633-1950, for the improvement of THIRTY-FOURTH STREET .from <br />the south line of Mishawaka Avenue to the north line of North Side Boulevard, AND <br />Improvement Resolution No. 2634-1950, for the improvement of ALLEY BETWEEN CALVERT STREET'! <br />AND DONALD STREET from the east line of Scott Street to the west line of Taylor; .ALLEY <br />BETWEEN SCOTT STREET AND TAYLOR STREET from the north line of Donald Street to the south <br />;line of the alley south of Calvert Street, AND <br />Improvement Resolution No. 2637-1950, for the improvement of THIRTY-THIRD STREET from the` <br />,south line of� Mishawaka .Avenue to the south line of Pleasant Street, AND <br />`.Improvement Resolution No. 2638-1950, for the improvement of KENDALL STREET from the north <br />;line of Donald Street to the south line of Calvert Street by constructing Class "C" Pave- <br />1 rents. <br />All work done in the making of said described public improvements shall be. in accord <br />�a.nce with the terms and conditions of Improvement Resolutions Nos. 2626, 2627, 2633, 26341 <br />2637 and 2638 - 1950, adopted by the Board of Public Works and Safety on the above named <br />!day, and the Profiles, Drawings, Plans, General_ Details, Specifications and Estimates to <br />be adopted by the Board of Public Works and Safety of such City, upon the final adoption <br />of said Resolutions and placed on file in the office of the Department of Engineering of <br />said City. <br />The Board of Public Works and Safety will meet -in its office in the City Hall on the, <br />6th day of July, 1950 at the hour of 6:30 o'clock PM -CST for the purpose of hearing and <br />!considering all remonstrances, which may have been filed or which may be presented, and <br />will hear all persons interested or whose property is affected by said proposed improvements <br />and will decide whether the benefit that will accrue to the property, abutting and adja- <br />cent to the proposed improvements and to said City, will be equal to or exceed the esti- <br />mated cost of the proposed improvements as estimated by the City Civil engineer. <br />(Signed) R. Noble, Clerk BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAF]TY <br />The Board approved plans for paving WASHIRGTON STREET from Gladstone Avenue to the <br />alley east of Sheridan Avenue; for paving ALBERT STREET from Washington Street to Linden <br />Avenue; for paving Greenview .Avenue fr-om Sample Street to Lombardy Drive; and, for paving; <br />WELLIA:GTON STREET from Washington to Linden Avenue for the Colpaert Realty Company. <br />The Board approved plans and detailed drawings for a storm sewer on Lombardy Drive <br />as shown on Sheets No. 1 to 6 for Garden Homes, Incorporated. <br />STREET DEPARTI,.,ENT:, Mr. Melton Brannan, Street Commissioner was present and matters per- <br />taining to his Department were discussed. <br />Permission was granted to Our Lady of Hungary Church to close Chapin Street from <br />Bruce Street to Calvert Street from June 12 to 17, inclusive, for the purpose of holding <br />a Street Festival. i <br />PARKING METER'DEPART142NT: Mr. Maurice C. Vennet, .Auditor, presented his report for the <br />week ending June 10, 1950 <br />CEMETERY DEPARTMENT: Mr. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertaining', <br />to his Department were discussed. <br />
