108 ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: The Rieth-Riley Construction Company presented a Certificate of Insurance covering work to be done by them_ for the City of South Bend. Contract Bonds were were approved and ordered filed for the following: Gentiel T. Dhaeze; C. A. Baker and K._ F. Rose d/b/a Rose & Baker; Harold Henson; Luther ?ing Rimer; Brick W. Gustafson; Interstate Maintenance and Engineering Company; Hilton Construction Company, Incorporated; George F. Bence d/b/a George F. Bence Construction Company; Elmer E. Basinger; Raymond J. North and Walter Wola.k d/b/a Wolak and North; Eugene W. Louddr- back; and, Melvin L. Green. . .An Excavation Bond was approved and ordered filed for J. A. Currie in the amount of, $21000.00. i i A Plat of A?atthews Addition to the City of South Bend was presented to the Board and referred to the City Engineer for study. Mr. Bradway, representing the South Bend Awning Company appeared before the Board with a.. drawing of a permanent type awning to be erected for the Kreamo Bakery on Brook- field and Lincolnway West. The Board approved the drawing contingent upon its being approved by Mr. Moomaw on its structural design. The Board approved plans for a sewer on Gladstone Avenue and Washington Street; on • Bonfield Place and on Villageway, all for Garden Homes, Incorporated. VACATION RESOLUTION No. 2639 - 1950 RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF TTI CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDT.AI4A: That it is desirable to vacate the following: I A portion of Woodside Street, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 175 Ridgedale Fourth Addition; thence Southeasterly along the Southerly line of Woodside Street a distance of 100 ft.; thence Northi,Testerly a distance of 83.28 ft. to the Southeasterly corner of Lot 177; thence Nor h- westerly along the Northeasterly line of said Woodside Street a distance of 78.59 ft to a point opposite place of beginning; thence Southwesterly a distance of 80 ft. to the place of beginning.
