<br />Therefor Be It Resolved, By the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Sout�i
<br />Bend, Indiana that the bids of the iiets^+— Riley Construction Company for the construction ,
<br />of the improvements described in Improvc_r_.ent Resolutions 2603, 26057 2607, 2608 and 2620,
<br />1050 passed by this Board on cbruar-T 20, 1950 and confirmed by this Board on Idiarch 27,
<br />�1950 be and the same is hereby adopted and that the City of South Bend, Indiana, thru its;
<br />:Mayor and Board of Public Works and Scfet,r enter into a written contract with said Rieth-
<br />Riley Construction Company for the faithful executor of such work, according to said bid,
<br />j the detailed plans and specifications and the terms of said Resolutions, provided that
<br />• jbefore enuring upon the performance of said contracts, said Rieth-Miley Construction Com�
<br />i any shall give bond in the amount equal h �t t p b , q _ .1 to one hundred (100) per cent of one contract
<br />prices for such work, with a. Surety Company legally authorized to transact business in th'
<br />1 State of Indiana, as Surety, to the approval of this Board, to secure the performance of �
<br />such contracts, and shall give a Maintenance Bond in the amount equal to fifty (50) per i;
<br />I cent of the contract price for such work, witha Surety Cor pa.nyr legally authorized to tra' -
<br />sact business in the State of Indiana, as Surety, to the approve_ of t'..,is Board to warran
<br />and quarantee the work, material and condition of the pavement for a period of three (3)
<br />!years, and to hold the City of South Bend, Indiana, harmless from payment of any debt or
<br />damage by reason of any act of such Contractor, and secure the pa, of all claims for
<br />Tabor and material used in such improvements.

<br />feet north of the north line of Western .revenue to the center line of eshington Street by

<br />Improvement Resolution No. 2631, 1950 for t'_e improvement of CiiICAGO STREET from the
<br />center line of Washington Street to the center line of I.Jinden Street by constructing a
<br />ilocal scwcr, AND
<br />Improvement Resolution Nlo. 2632, 1950 for the. i_r_�p-rovement of WAA'REN STREET from the
<br />kenter line of Indiana .Avenue to 150 feet north of ti_e north line of Prairie Avenue by
<br />onstructing a. local sewer.
<br />All work done in the r^al_ ng of said described pU-blic improvements shall ' be in accor-
<br />dance with the terms and conditions of Improvement Resolutions Numbers 2630, 2631 and
<br />26321 1950 adopted by the Board of Public ':-.'orI_s and Safety; on the above named day, and
<br />• 'the Profiles, Drawings, Plans, General Details, Specifications and Estimates to be a.dopte
<br />!� by the Board of Public Torks and Safety of such City, upon the final adoption of said Re-
<br />11 ,solutions and placed on _File in the office of the Department of Engineering of said City.

<br />adjacent to the proposed improvernents and to said Cit�r, will be equal to or exceed the
