<br />cuss the installation of an electric eye apparatus at the South Bend Clinic Building, 14
<br />North Lafayette. �'
<br />A petition was submitted to the Board through its Business Manager, C. L. Van Skyhaw
<br />wherein they indicate that the Clinic has taken out the necessar-Jr insurance on the elect is
<br />eye installation, that is located on public property, holding the City free from any li
<br />ability or accident which might result from this installation, The Board accepted this �j •
<br />installation in view of the nature of their b_lsiness fron_ the standpoint of accomodations
<br />to those who are handicapped. I
<br />Mr. Joseph Wentland, 1612 Mishawaka Avenue, appeared before the Board to ask permis-
<br />sion to install signs in the parkway at the entrance to River Park. No action was taken.ii .
<br />A petition to improve the alley between Michigan and Main Streets, one block south of
<br />Indiana .Avenue wa.s referred to the City Engineer.
<br />This being the date. set, hearing was held on the assessment roll showing the award
<br />of damages and the assessment of benefits in the matter of variation of the first alley
<br />west of Ironwood Drive from Ewing Avenue to the soot'_: line of the alley north of :Swing
<br />.Avenue under Vacation Resolution No. 2621.
<br />In the a.bove named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written remon-
<br />strances were filed, the Clerk of the Board submitted proofs of publication of notices
<br />and same were found sufficient, and the Board, therefore, finds that the several lots an
<br />parcels of land have been benefited and damaged in the amounts shown on said roll. The
<br />Board, therefore, decides to take final action on said assessment roll and declares same
<br />in all things ratified, confirmed and approved w thout modification and the proceedings
<br />closed,, and the alley vacated upon eceipt of the amount of benefit assessments from the
<br />various property owners so benefited and all proceedings had with reference to said alley
<br />va,ca.tion are hereby sustained. •
