56 <br />RAILROADS: Mr. Aaron Huguenard, Attorney for the Chicago South Store and South Bend <br />Railroad and Mr. Caparon, Superintendent of Track Maintenance for the said railroad ap- <br />peared before the Board to discuss the repairing of the right-of-way along the tracks <br />which are on the city streets in South Bend. Mr. Caparon stated that -materials have bee <br />ordered and as soon as the weather permits, work will be started on replacing paving <br />materials between the tracks and the situation will be remedied. .A tentative date, Apri <br />1, 1950, was given as the date on wlr ich this work should be on the way. <br />PARKING ��rTEA DEPARTMENT: Mr. Maurice C. Vennet, .Auditor., presented his report for the <br />week ending March 11, 1950. <br />STREET DEPARTMENT: Mr. Melton Brannan, Street Commissioner, was present and matters pe <br />taining to his Deva.rtment were discussed. <br />The Board approved a. Surety Bond covering the delivery of materials to the Street <br />Department from, the Standa.fd Oil Company. <br />CEI,MERY DE�PARTI,1NT: Mr. Stanley Lezczynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertaining <br />to his Department were discussed. n <br />There being no further business to cori!ie before the Board, the meeting was adjourned <br />at 11:20 a.m. <br />AT"EST: <br />B O.A <br />March 20, 1950 <br />.A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held or, Monday, March 20, 1950 a <br />9:30 a.m. All members were present. This was referred to the Traffic Engineer. <br />BUSSES:: A communication was received from the Common Council relative to equipment used <br />by the Bus Company which was referred to the Northern Indiana Transit Incorporated. <br />A letter was presented to the Board by Council,,_an Walter Glass, which letter was <br />signed by S. Gelbaugh and related to bus service. This was referred to Northern Ind.tana <br />Transit incorporated. <br />ENG HEERING DErARTi,.fENT: An Excavation Bond for Clifford Kiryoun and Losier Stanley, d/b/a <br />Kinyon and Stanley was approved and ordered filed. <br />An Exea.u�tion Bond for Place & Company in -the amount of 10,000 was approved and orde - <br />ed filed. <br />• <br />0 <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />0 <br />
