This was ref e '- <br />red to A.lor-F.hern Indiana Transit, incorporated. <br />After examing a survey made by t'r.e Traffic Eng-ircer, the Doard determined that the <br />Northern Indiana Transit, Incorporated should not be required to crake any changesin its � <br />present system of stopping. <br />I <br />A letter was received from the Public Service Commission of Indiana informing the <br />Board that a recommended order has been written concerning the new bus service between <br />South Bend and LaPorte by the Peoples Rapid Transit Corporation. <br />EKGI'_,UER NG DEPART!,IE ?T: A Contractor's Bond wn-s approved and ordered filed for William <br />H. Meyer. <br />A petition to pave Poplar Street was referred to t'he City Engineer, 1 <br />A communication -,ras received froYthe Corunon Council concerning a peti i�_on to reroute, o <br />heavy commercial trucks from traveling on Indiana Avenue from .alnut Street to Olive. No <br />action was taken. <br />Plans for a local sewer on Fellows Street from Chippewa Avenue north 586 feet were (i <br />approved by the Board. <br />Plans for curb grades on ILiverside Drive from Joyce Street north to North View Drive <br />were approved by the Board. <br />A petition was received asking for the cor_de (nation of eight feet of the property on <br />the north end of Lots `l, 2, 3, 4, and 5 of 'i yc'_,enhar- Hills, Section P. .ridOi ti on for alloy, <br />purposes. This was referred to the City Plan Co -mission for investigation and report. <br />A letter signed by Elsie Brouiellette, ol,lner and -2,1ter A. Bishop, Contractee was <br />received giving the City permission to dump fill -dirt and like substances of similar natu e <br />on Lot #52, Belmont Addition known as 3612 East l-To.shington Street.
