Insert in South Bend Tribune <br />and Mirror Press on <br />Friday October 7, 1949 and <br />Friday October 14, 1949, <br />NOTICE OF DARING SPECIAL BENEFITS ON STREET IMPROVE11ENT <br />No. 25588 - 1949 <br />South B end, Indiana <br />October 7, 1949 <br />October 14, 1949 <br />Notice is hereby given, that the following Street Improvement has been completed. <br />The general character of the Improvement, the street, alley or public place on which <br />it hats been made, and the terminal points therof are as follows: GRACE STREET from the <br />west line of the alley west of Webster Street to the west property line of the Oliver <br />Farm Equipment Company property by draining, grading and paving the roadway with a Class <br />"C" Type One (1) Pavement. <br />There is on file in the office of the City Controller of said City an assessment <br />roll with the names of the owners and description of property subject to be assessed wi <br />the amount of the Prima facia assessment, and can be seen in the office of said City <br />Controller. <br />The Board of Public Works and Safety of said City, at the office of the Board in said <br />City, will on the 17th day of October 1949, at 10:00 o'clock A. M. C. S. T. receive and <br />hear remonstrances against the amounts assessed against their property respectively, on <br />said roll, and will determine the question as to whether such lots, or tracts of land, <br />have been or will be benefited by said Improvement to the amounts named on said roll, <br />or is greater or lets than that named on said roll or in any sum. Rienke & sons for the construction of <br />the Dog Pound Building. This was approved by the Board and ordered filed. <br />STREET DEPARTMENT: _. Mr. Melton 0. Brannon, Street Commissioner, was present and matters <br />pertaining to his department were discussed. <br />PARKING METER DEPAR TP•ENT: Mr. I%`aurice C. Vennet, Auditor, presented his report for the <br />week ending October 1, 1949. <br />CEMETERY DEPARTMENT: Mr. Stanley Lesczyznski, Sexton, was present and matters pertaini <br />to his department were discussed. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned <br />at 10:00 A. M. <br />October 10, 1949 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of <br />Public Works was held on Monday, October <br />18th, <br />1949 at 9°,00 A. M. All members were present. Minutes <br />of the previous meeting <br />were read <br />and approved.
