Insert in South Bend Tribune and Mirror Press on Friday October 7, 1949 and Friday October 14, 1949, NOTICE OF DARING SPECIAL BENEFITS ON STREET IMPROVE11ENT No. 25588 - 1949 South B end, Indiana October 7, 1949 October 14, 1949 Notice is hereby given, that the following Street Improvement has been completed. The general character of the Improvement, the street, alley or public place on which it hats been made, and the terminal points therof are as follows: GRACE STREET from the west line of the alley west of Webster Street to the west property line of the Oliver Farm Equipment Company property by draining, grading and paving the roadway with a Class "C" Type One (1) Pavement. There is on file in the office of the City Controller of said City an assessment roll with the names of the owners and description of property subject to be assessed wi the amount of the Prima facia assessment, and can be seen in the office of said City Controller. The Board of Public Works and Safety of said City, at the office of the Board in said City, will on the 17th day of October 1949, at 10:00 o'clock A. M. C. S. T. receive and hear remonstrances against the amounts assessed against their property respectively, on said roll, and will determine the question as to whether such lots, or tracts of land, have been or will be benefited by said Improvement to the amounts named on said roll, or is greater or lets than that named on said roll or in any sum. Bruggner BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY A performance bond was presented by Carl J. Rienke & sons for the construction of the Dog Pound Building. This was approved by the Board and ordered filed. STREET DEPARTMENT: _. Mr. Melton 0. Brannon, Street Commissioner, was present and matters pertaining to his department were discussed. PARKING METER DEPAR TP•ENT: Mr. I%`aurice C. Vennet, Auditor, presented his report for the week ending October 1, 1949. CEMETERY DEPARTMENT: Mr. Stanley Lesczyznski, Sexton, was present and matters pertaini to his department were discussed. There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 10:00 A. M. October 10, 1949 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Monday, October 18th, 1949 at 9°,00 A. M. All members were present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
