<br />hereby requested to give notife of the hearing of Special Benefits on said Improvement,
<br />as required by Section N.11l or 120 of an Act entitled, "An Act Concerning Municipal

<br />i Notice is hereby given, that the following Street Improvement has been completed. The
<br />• I general character of the improvement, the street, alley or public place on which it
<br />has been made, and the terminal points thereof, are as follows: JACKSON STREET fom the
<br />north line of Sample Street to the south line of Dunham Street by draining, grading and
<br />paving the roadway with a Class "C", Type One (1) pavement.
<br />There is on file in the office of the City Controller of said City an assessment
<br />roll with the names of the owners and description of property subject to be assessed
<br />with the amount of the prima facia assessment, and can be seen in the office of said
<br />City Controller.
<br />The Board of Public iTorks and Safety of said City, at the office of the Board in
<br />said City, will on the 8th day of August, 1949, at 10:00 o'clock A. M. C. S. T. receive
<br />• and hear remonstrances against the amounts assessed against their property respectively,
<br />on said roll, and will determine the question as to whether such lots, or tracts of land,
<br />have been or will be benefited by said Improvement to the amounts named on said roll,
<br />or is greater or less than that named on said roll or in any sum. At which place and
<br />time all owners of such real estate may attend in person or by representative and be
<br />heard.

<br />A contract between the City of South Bend and the Rieth-Riley Construction Company
<br />as approved by the Board for the paving of Thirty -Second Street from the north line of
<br />Pleasant Street to the south line of Vine Street under Improvement Resolution No. 2591 -
<br />1949. The Board also approved a performance bond and a maintenance bond on the same.
<br />This being the date set for recieving bids on the paving of Olive Street at the
<br />Grace Street intersection the following bid was opened and publically read:
