<br />An application for a parking lot at 410 °South Main Street, to be known as the L &
<br />M Parking Lot was approved by the Board.
<br />ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT:
<br />Contractor's Bond in the amount of $1,000.00 were approved for Elmer Baringer,
<br />Stanley Michalski d/b/a Indiana Dairy Company, Alvin Linn, Dorothy E. Scernits and
<br />j J. W. Smith d/b/a Smith Construction Company. These were ordered filed.

<br />Excavation Bonds in the amount of $107000.00 were approved and ordered filed for
<br />Barney Massa Construction Company of Fort Wayne, Indiana and E. R. Knapp & Sons, Inc"
<br />of LaCrosse, Indiana. An Excavation Bond in the amount of $1,000,00 was approved and
<br />ordered filed for Leonard F. Fry,
<br />The Board approved a blat of Wilmore Hills, Section B, for William Moore,
<br />The Board approved the following paving plans - on Kentucky Street from Ford Street
<br />to 30 feet south of Western Avenue, On Huron Street from the property line of Kentucky
<br />Street to the East line of an alley one-half block West of Dundee Street, on Revere
<br />Place from the South line of Kentucky Street to 365 feet south East of Kentucky Street,
<br />on Dunham Street from the East side of the Alley West of Dundee Street to the West side
<br />of the alley East of Lake Street, on Kentucky Street from Sample Street to Ford Street..
<br />The Colpaert Realty Corporation submitted a bid on the paving of Kentucky Street
<br />from Western Avenue to Ford Street Ford street from the Alley East of Kentucky to the
<br />concrete pavement to the west and kuron Street from Kentucky Street to the alley East,
<br />in accordance with the specifications of the City of South Bend. The work is to be done
<br />by the Rieth Riley Construction Company of South Bend All of the property involved
<br />belongs to the Colpaert Realty Company and the School City of South Bend and the entire
<br />cost of the paving is to be paid by them.

<br />Be It Resolved, By the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend,
<br />Indiana, that the final Estimate, and Primary or Preliminary Assessment Roll submitted
<br />to the Board by the City Civil Engineer or his duly authorized representative on this
<br />23rd day of May, 1949, on the improvement known as the Kosciuszko Street Paving as des-
<br />cribed in Improvement Resolution No. 2574, 1948, adopted by the Board of Public Works;
<br />and Safety on August 9, 1948, be and the same is hereby adopted and the Clerk of this
<br />Board is hereby requested to give notice of the hearing of Special Benefits on said
<br />Improvement, as required by Section N.111 or 120 of an Act entitled, "An Act Concerning
<br />Municipal Corporations" Approved March 6, 1905.
