<br />• For the improvement of Howard Street under Improvement Resolution No. 2589, 1949,
<br />adopted April 25, 1949, from the East line of Notre Dame Avenue to the West Line of Eddy
<br />Street by draining, grading and paving the roadway with a Class "C" Pavement, Types
<br />,One (1) to Five (5) inclusive.

<br />After hearing all persons interested who appeared and being fully advised on the
<br />;premises, the Board decides that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for
<br />said improvement for said improvement are equal to the estimated cost of the same as re-
<br />ported by the City Civil Engineer. Therefore
<br />Be It Resolved, By the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend
<br />Indiana, that Improvement Resolution No. 2589, 1949, duly passed by this Board on April
<br />125, 191+9 for the above improvement, be and the same is hereby in all things confirmed an
<br />the improvement is hereby ordered to be made.

<br />PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ADOPTED
<br />No. 2589, 1949
<br />South Bend, Indiana

<br />BE IT RESOLVED, By the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend,
<br />Indiana, that the Profiles, Drawings, Plans, General Details, Specifications and Estim-
<br />ates approved by this Board on the 25th day of April, 1949, for the Improvement of Howar
<br />Street from the East line of Notre Dame Avenue to the West Line of Eddy Street by drain-
<br />ing, grading and paving the roadway with a Class "C" Pavement, Types One (1) to Five (5)
<br />• inclusive, be and the same are hereby adopted and ordered placed on file in the office
<br />lof the Department of Engineering of this Board.
<br />II June 8, 1949 at the hour of 10:00 A.M.C.S.T. is hereby fixed as the time, and the
<br />office of the Board of Public Works and Safety in the City hall of this City, as the pla
<br />,when and where the Board of Public Works and Safety will open and consider bids for the
<br />aabove named improvement, provided all bids for the construction of said works shall be f
<br />in the office of the Clerk of this Board before 10:00 A. M. C. S. T. of said day. Each
<br />bidder for said work shall enclose with his bid, a certified check, payable to the Treas
<br />urer of this City in the sum of two and one-half�(22) per cent of the amount of his bid
<br />or a bid bond for two and one-half (2 D per cent of the amount of his bid to insure the
<br />• ex)ecution of this contract, if said work is awarded to him.
<br />The Clerk of this Board is hereby ordered to give notice by two weekly publication
<br />of the time and place, when,and where bids will be received, opened and considered for t
<br />construction of said work. Said Clerk shall state in said notices, that each bidder sha
<br />enclose with his bid,°a certified check or bid bond for above named amount, to insure th
<br />execution of this contract.
