<br />This being the date set, hearing was rad on the resolution heretofore adopted by
<br />the Board of Public 7.111orks for the vacation of the alley North of Lincoln '�,,ay ';lest from
<br />Terrace Aven.ut to Bcndix Drive, ands the alley +Test of Terrace t'venue frori the 1,31orth
<br />line of the alley North of Lincoln Way ';.rest to end, under Vacation -resolution No. 2584.
<br />The Clergy: of the Board having shown sufficient proofs of publication and no remonstra-
<br />tors having; appeared and no written rerionstrances having been filed eTith the Cierh, it
<br />was moved, seconded and unanimously carried tl,a't the said resolution be finally adopted
<br />and the said alleys be vacated. The Engineering Department is directed to prepare an
<br />assessment roll covering the assessment o�' benefits a d the award of Jana. es to the
<br />surrounding properties.
<br />An Excavation bond was approved and ordered filed for Joseph 1,11, Himay.

<br />TRAFFIC Ei,GINEERIIJIG: Air. Ernest miller, 'Traffic Engineer, was present and matters
<br />pertaining to his department were discussed.
<br />TAXI -CAB STA'_`TDS: The petition of Joseph Tinder for a taxi -cab stand to be located on
<br />North Main Street, ?.eras carefull-y considered by the Board. After a full discussion of
<br />the matter, the Board drafted a letter to Leon Kowalski, i,,ir. Binder's attorney, indica,
<br />that if Mr. Binder can comply with all of the requirerients of the taxicab ordinance,
<br />and if the public needs and convenience warrant the granting of this stand, it will be
<br />considered further.
