<br />(City, as the place, when and where the Board of Public Works and Safety will open and
<br />consider bids for the above named improver_en.t, provided all bids for the construction of
<br />said works shall be filed in the off ice of the Clerk of this Board before 10:00 A. Ivi.
<br />of said day. Each bidder for said work shall enclose with his bid a, certified check,
<br />p8;yable to the Treasurer of this City in the stun of two and one-half (2:1E) per cent of the
<br />amount of his bid or a bid bond for two and one-half (2z) per cent of the amount of his
<br />•
<br />bid, to insure the execution of this contract, if said work is airarded to him.
<br />The Clerk of this ,13oard is hereby ordered to give notice by two weekly pub-
<br />lications of the time and place, when and where bids will be received, opened and consid-
<br />ered for the construction of said work. Said Clerk shall state in said notices, that
<br />each bidder shall enclose with his bid a certified check or bid bond for above named
<br />amount, to insure the cxecuion of this contrast.

<br />Notice is hereby given, that the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
<br />of South Bend, Indiana, on the 27th day of Septembc., 1948 at the hour of 10:00 A.E. at
<br />the office of the Board, in the City Hall, in Said City, ,..aill open and consider scaled
<br />bids, and designate by preliminary order the kind of pa,vemcnt to be used, for the follow-
<br />ing described Street Improvement, as provided for in Irprovement resolution No. 2567, 194
<br />duly passed by said Board on August 9, 1948 and September 21 1948, respectively, to -wit:
<br />O'Brien Street from the worth line of 'Jasliington Street to the north property line of
<br />Lots 11 and 13 in Wheeler's Subdivision by draining, grading and p^vin; the roadway with
<br />a class C pavement, Types one (1) to five (5) inclusive.
<br />Provided, all bids for the construction of said work, shall be filed in the
<br />office of the Clerk of the Board_ of ,Public 'f orks and Safety of said City before 10:00
<br />1.o'clock A.M. of said day.
<br />Each kidder for said worn. shall enclose with his bid_ a. Certified check payable
<br />• to the Treasurer of said City, in the sv_rn of ttirca and one-half (2) per cent of the amount
<br />of his bid or a bid bond for two and one-half (21) per cent of the amount of his bid, to
<br />insure the execution of Contract, if said work i s ::carded to him.
