<br />of said day. Each bidder for said work shall enclose with his bid a certified check, pe
<br />to the , Trea.surer of this City in the su_of two and one-half (2?) per cent of the amount
<br />of his bid or a bid bond for two and one-half (22) per cent of the amount of his bid to
<br />insure the execution of this contract, if said work is awarded to him.
<br />The Clerk of this Board is hereby ordered to give notice by two weekly publi-
<br />cations of the time and place, when and ,..,i=ere bids will be received, opened and consid-
<br />ered for the construction of said work. Said Clerk shall state in said notices, that
<br />each bidder shall enclose with his bid a certified check or bid bond for above named
<br />amount to �nsure the execution of this contract.

<br />Notice is hereby given that the Board of Public i, Iorks and Safety of the City
<br />of South Bend, Indiana, on the 27th day of September, 1948 at the hour of 10:00 A.M.
<br />C.D.T. at the office of the Board, in the City Hall, in said City, will open and consider
<br />sealed bids, and designate by prel-I inary order the kind of pavement to be used, for the
<br />following described Street improvement, as provided for in Improvement Resolution No.
<br />25719 1948, duly passed by said Board on August 9, 1948 and September 2, 194 8 respect-,
<br />ively, to -wit:
<br />South Liberty Street from the North line of Sample Street to the South
<br />line of Western '_venue by the draining, grading and paving the roadiway with a Class C
<br />Pavement, Types one (1) to five (5) inclusive.
<br />Provided, all bids for the construction of said wor__, shall be filed in the
<br />office of the Clerk of the Board of Public ,,:.orks and Safety of said City before 10:00
<br />o'clock C.D.T. of said day.
<br />Each bidder for said work shall enclose with his bid a Certified Check payable
<br />to the Treasurer of said City, in the sum of two and one-half (2') per cent of the amount
<br />of his bid or a. bid bond for two and one�half (24) per cent of the ar.2ount of his bid, to
<br />insure the execution of Contract, if said work is awarded to him.
<br />Detailed Aland and specifications for said improvement are on file in the
<br />office of the Department of Engineering.
<br />The Board of Public „Torks and Safety reserves the right to reject any and all
<br />bids.
