347 <br />._ Rev. C. J. Witucki, Pastor of St. Casimir Church, presented a letter relative <br />to a bad hump..in the pavement on the Northwest corner of South Walnut and Ford <br />Streets. There were no claims of suppliers to be approved. <br />I) TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT: Mr. Ernest Miller, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters <br />li pertaining to.his department were discussed. <br />I� TAXI -CABS: Mr. Feeney and Mr. Stratigos, Attorneys, representing the.Veterans <br />Cab.Company, came before the Board to petition for a cab stand in front of the <br />Odd Fellows Building, and also to ask for a temporary cabstand until the new <br />',j taxi -cab ordinance has been passed by the Common Council. No action was taken. <br />BIDS: Mr. Pajakowski having asked for bids on an adding machine, the following <br />;i bids were opened and publicly read: <br />{ Underwood Corporation $238.50 <br />Burroughs Adding Machine Co. 264.60 <br />I� Victor Adding Machine Co.. 220.50 <br />i The Board accepted the bid.of the Underwood Corporation, their bid being, in the <br />A Board's opinion, the lowest and best bid received. <br />ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: Mr, Ralph Allen, representing the StudebakerCorporation, <br />came before the Board,to petition for the installation of two more railroad tracks <br />parallel with and adjacent to the tracks now in use crossing Chippewa Avenue near <br />�I the Studebaker Aviation Plant.
